AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES ON THE ADVANCE PRESENTATION OF THE MANIFESTO IN CHINA

The Chinese customs administration (GACC) issued the order No. 56/2017 (attached in the English version) containing some revisions to the Decree No. 172, concerning the early presentation of the posters, issued in 2009, still being tested in the June 2014 and subsequently entered into force.

The purpose of the amendments is to standardize procedures and formats, as well as to improve the prevention of risks related to the import and export of goods in China.

According to the order, the new rules come into force from next June 1 and provide for the electronic transmission of data, strictly complying with the decree (http://english.customs.gov.cn/Statics/2bb17644-55f2-4c6b-a296-5ad18cd3f7d6.html), related to the incoming and outgoing transports (air and sea transport) and related posters. More accurate and complete data are requested to identify exactly “shipper” and ” consignee” “(Tax ID, P. VAT), the notify (contact numbers), as well as the goods themselves.
In the case of natural persons, the passport number is required.
For companies registered with Chinese Customs, the USCI (Unified Social Credit Code) code must be provided.
